Katrine Simcox of the Bradfield and Stocksbridge clubs died last week at the age of 48 after a few months illness. Apart from playing in different leagues for both clubs she was also, at Bradfield, the website administrator, membership secretary and team captain, but she always found time for social play and functions. Her friends remember her as enthusiastic and motivated, with her 'positive mental attitude' when facing tough opposition. In 2016, with Claire Wood, she reached the final of the Over 40 Ladies Handicap Doubles in the S&DLTA tournament.
Funeral is at Grenoside Crematorium tomorrow, Friday 31 March at 2.45pm.
